With an area of 13 km², Wolfgangsee is one of the largest lakes in Salzkammergut. The lake stretches across the provinces of Salzburg and Upper Austria and is a popular destination for summer holidays. Bathing, boating, water sports, cycling, and hiking – are what the visitor is offered along almost endless leisure opportunities. Well-known towns, such as Strobl, St. Wolfgang, and St. Gilgen attract visitors with culinary delights and varied cultural events.
